Who owns the names Precollab uses, and the credits it owes. Back to Precollab.

Trademarks

Precollab names real fixtures, real truss and real file formats so you can tell which one a feature means. The names below are their owners' trademarks:

Lighting and camera
ARRI, ALEXA, ARRIMAX, SkyPanel, Orbiter, True Blue, LUKA, Aputure, Nova, Astera, Titan Tube, Creamsource, Vortex, Kino Flo, Diva-Lite, Lee, Rosco
Rigging and grip
Eurotruss, Global Truss, James Thomas Engineering, Liftket, Litec, Milos, Prolyte, Speedrail, Tomcat, Tyler, Ultrabounce
Software and file formats
Unreal Engine, Datasmith, Vectorworks, grandMA3, Blackout, Capture, Depence

Every other product name, logo and brand shown in Precollab belongs to its owner too. Precollab is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them, and no owner of any of these marks has reviewed, approved or supplied anything here. The names are used only to identify the equipment and the formats Precollab works with.

Art-Net

Precollab sends and receives Art-Net to drive and to read real lighting. Artistic Licence publishes the specification and lets anyone use it royalty free, on the condition that a product implementing it carries this credit:

Art-Net™ Designed by and Copyright Artistic Licence Engineering Ltd

Art-Net is owned by and copyright Artistic Licence Engineering Ltd, and Art-Net™ is their trademark.

Textures

The bundled material library mirrors texture sets from Poly Haven and ambientCG, all of them released under Creative Commons CC0 1.0. CC0 asks for no credit, so this is thanks rather than a condition. Each mirrored set carries a meta.json beside its maps holding that set's license and its authors, so the per-texture attribution stays with the files.

Photometrics

The catalog's photometric data is synthetic. A GDTF written by Precollab describes itself as "Generated by Precollab from the manufacturer's published DMX protocol", and a Precollab IES file says "Not a measurement" in its header: it is Precollab's own beam curve for that optic, not a goniometer report. Use the manufacturer's own file when a number has to be exact.
